The First Meeting of the Conference of the Parts (COP1) to the Escazú Agreement began this Wednesday April 20 in Santiago de Chile with the purpose of reviewing the state of the implementation of the Agreement and advance on its operationalization. The Meeting, going until April 22, also seeks to call the States Parties and other nations in ratification or adherence process to foster joint actions and multilateralism to impulse the first environmental agreement in the region.
